MORE state-sponsored abductions in Tanzania, Dioniz Kipanya from the opposition CHADEMA party has been missing since July 26th, he was picked up by people who identified themselves as the police. Ironically, he isn’t in any police station.
Check out this thread here.
Well, the so-called reformist, the United Republic Of Tanzania president, Samia Suluhu Hassan did say in public, that these abductions are just drama. She’s unbelievable.
Meanwhile, Charles Chaula, the artist who burned a painting he drew of the president, was sentenced to 2 years in prison and whose fine was paid by a crowdfunding exercise that secured his release pending an appeal, has now been abducted by government operatives.
You’ll find a post on X confirming this abduction here.

11:15 pm EAT — Boniface Mwabukusi has been announced as the new president of the Tanganyika Law Society. It’s a done deal. Time to celebrate!
10:50 pm EAT — After the scandalous conduct of the CCM government in an attempt to rig this election, see discarded ballots in this video on X here, Boniface Mwabukusi is yet to be announced as President of the Tanganyika Law Society. The suspense is palpable.
Tanganyika Law Society is the Bar association of Tanzania Mainland, founded in 1954 by an Act of Parliament. Today they elect their new president, with government interference galore including disabling the networks to obstruct the voting process; and ballot papers running out leaving hundreds of lawyers who hadn’t voted. I’m told the network later came back online, and new ballot papers were brought in, my guess is, thanks to the noise gone viral on social media. We are watching the Suluhu Samia dictatorship like hawks. As I write this post, the ballot papers are being tallied.
