Tanzania’s #1 Organized Crime Syndicate, is the Government
8 April 2024 — The deliberate impoverishment of the populous is the macabre trademark and legacy of the Tanzanian government, which stays in power by the barrel of a gun against the will of the people and uses poverty and propaganda as a weapon to control the masses. This is a government that was not elected by the people. Every election is rigged.
Corruption in Tanzania is rife with no accountability whatsoever. Increasingly the gap between the haves and have-nots is widening, as depicted in the image below where the ruling elite live a life of extravagant splendor from plundering the nation’s natural resources, imposing double taxation on the poor, and misappropriating loans and aid packages secured from international development partners.
The new presidential appointee, Paul Makonda taking office as Regional Commissioner of Arusha, a region on the slopes of Tanzania’s Mount Kilimanjaro, is indication enough that President Samia Suluhu Hassan has ill intent.
So, who is Paul Makonda?
Makonda is a former Regional Commissioner of Dar es Salaam under the John Magufuli administration and was most recently appointed by his successor Samia Suluhu Hassan as the new Chief propagandist for Tanzania’s ruling political party, CCM.
Alarm bells went off when Samia appointed Makonda chief CCM spin doctor a few months ago, but even bigger bells sounded all the louder this time as he was elevated to a civil service capacity as governor of Arusha.
What makes his two successive appointments look even more ridiculous is that Makonda is sanctioned by the US Department Of State, read their statement: Public Designation, Due to Gross Violations of Human Rights, of Paul Christian Makonda of Tanzania.
When he was sworn in as the new Regional Commissioner of Arusha, a tourist destination with some of the most extraordinary tourist attractions such as the Ngorongoro Crater, Serengeti, and Manyara National Park, President Samia Suluhu Hassan quipped, “You know what you need to do,” hinting that behind closed doors Makonda had express instructions on his duties as the new head of the region.
Having served under Magufuli as a covert hitman hidden behind the title of Regional Commissioner for Dar es Salaam, we can expect his trademark signature abductions, murders, and floating dead bodies in rivers and the Indian Ocean.
Ngorongoro land grabbing on the pretext of conservation is orchestrated in deep secrecy by the government — even the European Parliament was denied access to investigate — and public outcry is met with statements in denial of the accusations leveled at the regime. Meanwhile, the persecution and displacement of the Maasai are ongoing.

Appeal to Boycott Tourism in Tanzania
#BoycottTourismTanzania is a new hashtag for our global call to boycott blood money tourism to the United Republic Of Tanzania. We call upon tour operators, tourists, and tourist trade expos to not support a regime that is committing enforced evictions and genocide against the indigenous Maasai community in Tanzania.
One of the most effective ways to exert pressure on the regime is to hit them where it hurts, by cutting the tourism revenue. A petition to this effect will be launched soon, but with this article, we hope to initiate a global awareness drive to put an end to the suffering of the Maasai.
